On the corner of 4th and Birmingham, a man robs a young mother of her purse. Two blocks away, a small boy cries out for his sister. In that very same city, a group of men are planning blackmail the CEO of an important business.
Yet I do nothing.
I do nothing, because if I fix one little problem, they’ll ask for more. I’ll simply spend eternity cleaning up the messes of others. I am not a janitor. The world will keep spinning without my hand interfering with its rotation.
If I help them, if I make them see things the way I see them, they will never learn what it is to be human.

Rorschach. It’s good to see you.
Want to know why you’re back.
It seemed only natural.
How?
Hate humanity, finished with it before. Made that very clear. To all of us. Destiny, preordained. Should’ve kept you away. Nothing left here. World, worse than before.
Real reason.
I simply wanted to see how the world adjusted without me. To see if people could survive despite themselves.
Survive. Keyword.
Much worse than before. Shifted from Russia to Middle East. Just a change of blame.
This world hasn’t ever excelled at peace, has it, Rorschach? One might say it’s been doomed from the start.
